Our meetings.

The meeting room will be open from 7:15pm for an 7.45pm start and we finish the formal part of the meeting at around 9:00pm.

Followed by Question Time and open discussion until 9:45.

We can then vacate the hall and continue chatting in a local pub. This is, of course, for those who wish too.

The meetings are free to everyone, but we ask those of you who are not members of the DABBGL and who can afford it to make a donation. This helps fund hire of the room and other running expenses.

The adult group is normally for people over the age of 18, although family members accompanying adults are welcome for some topics.

THE PURPOSE OF THE GROUP:

  1. To provide an opportunity for dyslexic adults to meet and share experiences. This group is open to people from all walks of life.

  2. The group aims to:

  • Provide a comfortable and welcoming way for people to explore if they are dyslexic

  • Take account of the needs of adults who have newly discovered they are dyslexic and help them get more information about dyslexia or being dyslexic

  • Encourage people to mix with others with similar ‘wiring’ and experiences

  • Welcome partners, family members and friends of other adult dyslexics to get further information and to provide appropriate support
