Everyone working for Dyslexia Association of BBGL does so in a
voluntary capacity. We have no paid staff.

We
liaise regularly with Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich and Lewisham Local
Authorities.

We
are working with the Local Authorities to make their schools
dyslexia-friendly.

We
are consulted by the Local Authorities, and asked to sit on various
steering groups.

We
regularly respond to both local and national policy document
consultations.

We
are members of, and work closely with the British Dyslexia
Association. This is the national umbrella group for dyslexia
organisations.

We
have worked with Bexley, Greenwich and Bromley Libraries to set up a
collection of ‘Wordwise’ books.

These are easy-to-read books with a high interest level. We have
also donated a collection of books about dyslexia. The collections
are based in Bexleyheath Library, Bromley Central Library and Eltham
Library.

We
have a wide range of books about dyslexia for sale at all our
meetings and conferences and at any events we attend. Cheques are
accepted with a guarantee card.

There are over 300 members of the Association.
